REDEFINING REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT
REBUILDING OPPORTUNITY ZONES
At Eastside Innovation, we believe opportunity zones represent one of the most powerful tools for transformative development today. With favorable tax reform potential, a 10-year capital gains exemption, and accelerated depreciation benefits, these zones offer a rare chance to maximize returns while aligning with critical national priorities, like renewable energy and housing. It's smart investment with real impact.

FROM CONCEPT TO CONSTRUCTION IN EASTSIDE KCK
We focus on a clear set of activities that move Eastside KCK from renderings to real, lived-in places.
We bridge people, ideas, and power.
We bring residents, leaders, organizations, and artists to the same table to shape solutions for equitable neighborhood revitalization. By connecting grassroots vision with institutional partnerships and policy conversations, we turn collective insight into coordinated action that benefits the entire KCK community.
We Listen First and Act Together.
We believe that lasting transformation starts with the people who live it every day. Through listening sessions, community forums, and workshops, we elevate resident voices to shape priorities, programs, and advocacy. Our work grows from the ground up — guided by lived experience, accountability, and shared ownership of Wyandotte County future.

We build capacity for community-led change.
We equip Eastside residents with the knowledge, skills, and platforms to lead advocacy and development efforts in their own neighborhoods. Through civic leadership training, policy education, and catalytic projects, we’re advancing equity, shifting power, and ensuring that those most affected by disinvestment are the ones shaping what comes next.

MIDTOWN STATION: New Model for Eastside Revitalization
This is more than a redevelopment—it is a national demonstration of what is possible when sustainable infrastructure and community leadership move in lockstep. Led by Eastside Innovation, the project transforms the former Indian Springs Mall into a walkable, mixed-use, clean-energy community featuring housing, retail, jobs, transit integration, green space, and a 30-acre solar microgrid. And we ensure residents shape the heart of Midtown Station! Through education, convening, storytelling, and civic leadership development, EOV activates the social infrastructure that makes the physical infrastructure matter. Our goal is a community that grows with longtime residents, not without them.
